Where an individual appears incidentally in a wide-angle, crowd or background shot, CRC may not be able to identify or exclude every individual from the resulting content.
CRC will, however, take reasonable steps to avoid intentionally filming or photographing individuals who have formally requested to be excluded from CRC's promotional photography or filming.
4. Use of Images, Audio and Video
CRC may use photographs, audio recordings and video recordings in which individuals appear or are heard for the purposes described in this policy.

CRC does not sell photographs or recordings of individuals for the purpose of selling their personal likeness or personal information.
CRC may use content to promote CRC's ministry, services, events, programs and activities. CRC does not intend to use such content in a manner that is misleading, defamatory or deliberately harmful to an individual.
5. Requesting to Be Excluded from Photography or Filming
CRC understands that some individuals may prefer not to appear in church broadcasts, livestreams or promotional photography.

Where a reasonable request is received regarding published content, CRC will consider whether the content can be edited, removed or otherwise amended, taking into account the nature of the content and the circumstances in which it was created and published.
6. Children and Young People
CRC takes the privacy, dignity and safety of children and young people seriously.
Photography and filming within children's ministry areas, including CRC Kids Church, may take place for approved ministry, communication, promotional or event purposes.

No person may intentionally audio record, video record, photograph or livestream a private meeting, counselling session, prayer ministry session or other confidential conversation involving other individuals without the explicit consent of all persons participating in the conversation or meeting.
Consent must be freely given and clearly understood by all parties before any recording takes place. The consent of one participant does not constitute consent on behalf of any other participant.
This requirement applies regardless of whether the recording is made using a mobile phone, camera, tablet, smartwatch or any other recording device.
Where a private meeting is being recorded for an approved CRC purpose, all participants must be informed of the recording and its intended purpose, and appropriate consent must be obtained before recording begins.
CRC may ask any person to stop recording or to leave a private meeting where they are recording without the required consent.
Nothing in this section prevents a person from making a recording where they are legally entitled to do so under applicable law. However, CRC expects all individuals on its premises to respect the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of others and to obtain appropriate consent before recording private meetings or conversations.
CRC reserves the right to establish additional requirements for recording within specific ministry environments or confidential settings.

CRC owns or is otherwise authorised to use photographs, recordings and other content that it creates, commissions or is otherwise entitled to use, subject to applicable law and any rights held by third parties.
Where content includes third-party intellectual property, music, performances, presentations or other material, CRC will manage and use that content in accordance with applicable rights, permissions and licensing requirements.

Where footage is required for an ongoing investigation or legal matter, it may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose.
CRC will take reasonable steps to securely dispose of or delete recordings when they are no longer required, subject to any applicable legal or operational requirements.
